RIVERBANK, Calif. — Excited shoppers lined up outside a new Costco in Riverbank Thursday, some for several hours ahead of the opening.
"We got here about 11 p.m. last night. We are here for the fine bourbons and some deals that are hard to find," one shopper said.
People rushed in when doors opened at the new Costco location at Crossroads West area at 2015 Claribel Road.
One woman has been looking forward to the opening.
"I live in Oakdale so it's a little far to go and very busy, this is going to be convenient so I love it, I'm very happy about it," Bette Haynes said.
The building is around 161,000 square feet and has a tire service center, hearing aid center, optical department, pharmacy, gas station and food court. The business is the third of its kind in Stanislaus County.
