ROCKLIN, Calif. — Police are looking for six people who stole motorcycles from a Placer County business.
The car crashed through the doors, several thieves in black hoodies got out and they stole six dirt bikes in a matter of minutes.
"(My) first time watching it, it was just sickening and then of course that turns into anger and frustration, not only with the thieves but just with the state of California and retail theft in this state," said Roseville Motorsports assistant general manager, Colby Moore.
Moore says between the stolen dirt bikes, a broken entrance and property damage, the loss totals around $100,000.
"We believe it's the same group that's hit multiple dealerships. Just the way they act is very military-like and they know what they're doing, and they know exactly where they're going," said Moore. "They bring bolt cutters and Sawzall's, and we just hope this stops it from happening in the future."
Store customers are also frustrated about how much the thieves can get away with.
"It's very unfortunate for anything that happens, but you know what, these days people take what they want, right? I mean hey, if you can't stop them, everybody's going to do it," said a customer who didn’t want to be named.
Moore says the business is doing everything it can, so the suspects don’t get away with the crime.
"You can't keep doing this. It's not right and you're affecting families that are trying to feed their kids and make a living. It's not just some big dealership, you know? This is a family-owned company," he said.
The store says customers alerted them to videos on social media showing what looks like stolen dirt bikes.
Investigators are aware of the videos and are working leads. Anyone with information can call Rocklin police.
