ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Nine new pickleball courts near the Roseville Galleria are nearing completion, according to the city.
The pickleball courts will be located at the corner of Gibson Drive and Roseville Parkway. Tara Gee, Roseville's Park Planning and Development Manager, says they're right on target with the expected completion date of Dec. 2023 to Jan. 2024.
"We are working hard on finishing the pickleball courts at The Courts at Gibson Park. We appreciate everyone’s patience while the final touches are being taken care of," said Gee in a statement to ABC10.
With the holidays soon approaching, Gee says it may be more likely to be complete in Jan. 2024.
Gee says the city is working with the contractor to finish up minor items. She says the construction fences will be removed when the Roseville City Council approves the notice of completion.
This is the first phase of the Courts at Gibson Park Project, which is a 13.75-acre complex that when completed will include 12 lighted pickleball courts, 10 lighted tennis courts, three lighted full courts for basketball and more amenities.
Gee previously said the first phase costs about $4 million.
Two shaded gathering areas, two restrooms, informal turf areas and a looped, walking path and exercise pods will also be part of the finished project.
