ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Registration will open soon for Roseville programs and events from January to May.

The city offers events for all ages in its Parks, Recreation and Libraries (PRL) magazine. Some of the special events include Food Truck Mania, Comedy Night featuring headliner Chinedu Unaka from ABC's Abbott Elementary, Wine Down Wednesday, a Spring Craft Fair and more.

Parents and guardians can sign up their kids for cooking classes, painting classes, LEGO engineering classes and more.

There are also camps over spring break including a Chess Camp, Let's Make Movies camp, Create Television Magic camp and more.

Swim lesson registration for Roseville residents opens Jan. 9 and for non-Roseville residents begins Jan. 23. There are four sessions that run Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, and three sessions of Saturday swim lessons. These are offered at the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool.

Roseville also offers adaptive programs for people with "cognitive, physical or developmental challenges." Some of those events include a teen watch and discussion, sensory-friendly bunnies and baskets, and a sensory-friendly sports sampler.

Another event is an ASL storytime at Roseville's Downtown Library.

“It is a bilingual storytime that is also open to hearing families, which gives deaf and hearing children the opportunity to interact with each other once a week,” Librarian Lisa Eck said in the PRL magazine. “This program allows them to have a space to enjoy each other, the fun stories and for kids and families to feel like they are part of the community. It’s just one of the many things we do here at the library to make our programs accessible for everyone.”

Registration for programs and events starts at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9. People can create a "wish list" of events to save time on registration. Find information on creating a wishlist HERE.
