1 dead after Roseville house fire

A multi-agency investigation determined the fire was accidental.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — One person died after a fire at their Roseville home on Monday night.

The house fire happened in the Cresthaven neighborhood. Roseville Fire Department responded to calls of smoke coming from the house.

Neighbors were actively trying to find the resident of the house when fire crews arrived at the scene. 

When firefighters went inside the home, they found the resident dead. 

The fire was able to be put out before the house was burned down. A multi-agency investigation determined the cause of the fire was accidental.

Roseville Fire Department encouraged people to check their smoke alarms and make sure they have working smoke alarms their bedrooms, their hallway and common spaces.
