ROSEVILLE, Calif. — In Roseville, Amazon Fresh officially debuted its first Northern California store Thursday.
“We're thrilled to open our newest Amazon Fresh grocery store right here in the heart of Placer County. This opening invites customers in Roseville to experience grocery shopping with Amazon Fresh, both in-store and online. We’re excited for customers to see our wide selection of grocery essentials from national brands, high-quality produce, meat and seafood, and curated array of their favorite local items and fresh-prepared meals. Our team is proud to build new relationships with our customers here in Greater Sacramento and support important local organizations in the area like Placer Food Bank,” said Stockton Young, Regional Manager for Amazon Fresh.
The new store will open with some festivities around 7:45 a.m. There’ll be face painting, games and more for the kids and some tote bags, free samples and even Amazon gift cards for the first 100 people in line. Notably, the first in line gets a $100 gift card.
Amazon Fresh will be carrying brands like Equator Coffees, Alvarado Street Bakery and 4505 Meats along with private-label brands like Aplenty, Fresh Brand and 365 by Whole Foods.
Other items to check include grab-and-go sandwiches, wraps, snack boxes, take-and-bake pizzas, ready-to-heat burritos and ready-made meals.
The other big deal is the deals. All customers who shop at the store can save up to 30% in-store and online. Amazon Prime members also get access to Prime Savings, which offers 10% off hundreds of other grocery items.
Amazon Fresh is also featuring a different way to shop with Amazon Dash Cart and Amazon One, which allows people to use their palms to pay at the store.
Any surplus food from the store goes to the Placer Food Bank.
The store is located at 6780 Stanford Ranch Road. However, it won’t be the only store in the area for long. Elk Grove’s Amazon Fresh opens on Sept. 12.
