90-year-old patient dies from injuries after attack at Roseville care facility

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A 90-year-old woman died days after getting injured by a memory care patient at a Roseville residential care facility.

The attack was reported Aug. 28 along the 1100 block of Nob Hill Court in Roseville. 

The Roseville Police Department said a 90-year-old woman had facial injuries and was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. A 77-year-old memory care patient at the site was the suspect in the attack.

On Sept. 3, the woman died from her injuries and the suspect was then taken to an alternate memory care facility.

The investigation is ongoing but will ultimately be forwarded to the Placer County District Attorney's Office to review.
