Family-friendly Halloween events in Roseville

From trunk-or-treat to spooky films, there are multiple family-friendly Halloween events this weekend in Roseville.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — With Halloween falling on a Tuesday this year, many events are happening before the actual holiday. Here are some of the family-friendly events happening the weekend before and on Halloween in Roseville this year.

October 26

Family Fun Night

There will be safe trick-or-treating at businesses on Vernon Street along with live music, a costume contest, food trucks and more Thursday, Oct. 26. Family Fun Night lasts from 4-8 p.m. with entertainment on the mainstage from 4-6 p.m. The costume contest starts at 6 p.m. with 5 age group winners including categories of 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, 7-10 years old, 11-14 years old, and 15 and up.

October 27

Trunk-or-Treat

Roseville's trunk-or-treat event is happening Friday, Oct. 27 at the Mahany Fitness Center. The event lasts from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and tickets are $12. There's also a kid's corner with Halloween-inspired activities and games. People can register for tickets HERE.

Friday Flicks: Hocus Pocus 2

The Sanderson sisters return for Hocus Pocus 2 after three young women accidentally bring them back to modern-day Salem. The film will start at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at the Mahany Fitness Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The movie is free and no registration is required.

October 28

Trick-or-Treat at Your Favorite Stores

Walk around the Roseville Galleria and trick-or-treat at stores with a trick-or-treat icon in the window Saturday, Oct. 28 from 12-2 p.m. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but full face masks aren't allowed and trick-or-treating is available while supplies last.

October 31

Golfland Fright Nights

Golfland Sunsplash Roseville has Fright Nights that last until Saturday, Nov. 4. It's open the week before Halloween from Oct. 25-Oct. 31, starting at 6 p.m. The first 30 minutes of each day are toned down for the younger visitors or people looking for a less scary environment. The Gauntlet Haunted House is not recommended for young children under 13 years old or people with heart conditions. But, fear not, there's another way to get into the spooky season without going through the haunted house. The 18-hole golf course has been transformed for Halloween and admission is the standard golf rate. People can purchase haunted house admission and mini golf in a package deal or separately.
