ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A man was arrested at the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville Sunday and accused of kidnapping his girlfriend.
The Roseville Police Department said Tuesday that in the early hours of June 9, officers responded to reports of a woman screaming for help near Main Street near downtown Roseville.
The woman was pulled into a black BMW and people nearby tried to help her, but the vehicle left. An ID card was found in the area, which later turned out to belong to the woman.
Officers talked to the woman over the phone, but she denied anything happened. Officers went to the woman's home in Folsom for a welfare check but no one answered the door.
Later on Sunday, the Folsom Police Department got a call from the woman saying she was experiencing domestic violence and was forced into a vehicle the night before by her boyfriend.
Officers found the vehicle at the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville and found the man inside the mall. He was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and domestic violence.
