ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Roseville’s Old Town Pizza bought a former post office building in Downtown Roseville back in September in hopes of renovating it into a new restaurant.
They're hoping to open the new location at the end of 2025 and are ready to share what diners can expect.
Co-owner Reese Browning says it's been a goal for the company to own a place rather than rent.
“We would have loved to stay right where we are had that property been available for sale. Since it was not available, we began actively looking a couple of years ago,” said Browning. “This property was the best choice as far as location, size and our ability to financially make it happen.”
The new location sparked interest due to its location across from Roseville’s City Hall and the Public Parking Garage.
OTP (Old Town Pizza) will showcase customer satisfaction by implementing more seating options, and expanding areas like takeout and dine-in options. There could also be an underground bar/speakeasy in the future after the first phase of construction.
“They can expect short wait times with our expanded capacity in terms of seats but also because of our larger kitchen capacity,” Browning said.
“We are excited to offer expanded semi-private and private spaces for guests wanting that experience. We are also adding a rooftop dining experience including a large bar with bar seating. This will be built in a way that should allow our guests and our team to enjoy this space all year long,” said Browning.
Those who are looking for things to do while waiting for their meal or even hanging out with friends will be able to participate in different activities that will be offered to them at the restaurant.
“We are also creating a space for Slice Beer Co. so that more of the Roseville community can enjoy the great beer and atmosphere that is uniquely sliced,” said Browning. “We expect to offer cornhole and Bocce ball options along with indoor and outdoor spaces for our guests to enjoy.”
While the new building will be in a competitive location near other restaurants serving similar menu items, OTP expects to serve the community just like they did in the previous location.
“OTP loves the community and bringing this property back to life after it has been sitting vacant for many years is very exciting. Nobody likes empty commercial spaces,” said Browning. “The new location is perfect and will allow us to become even more accessible to our current guests that have enjoyed OTP over the last 9+ years but also allow for an increasing number of guests to enjoy.”
The location of the post office building is 320 Vernon St. in Downtown Roseville. The current location in Roseville is at 120 Church St.
There are two other locations of Old Town Pizza in Placer County including in Auburn at 510 High Street and in Lincoln at 599 Lincoln Boulevard.
