ROSEVILLE, Calif. — There's a temporary road closing in Roseville this week as work on the Roseville Parkway Extension project continues.
Part of Industrial Avenue will be temporarily closed the week of June 3 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be detour signs in the area.
The detour will take drivers along Freedom Way to Washington Boulevard and eventually reconnect with Industrial Avenue.
There may be more construction-related impacts along Foothills Boulevard, Industrial Avenue and Washington Boulevard. Over the next several weeks people can expect intermittent lane closures on Industrial and Washington boulevards.
The Roseville Parkway Extension project is a four-lane roadway between Washington Boulevard and just west of Foothills Boulevard. It will connect northwest Roseville to east Roseville and Granite Bay.
There will be two lanes in either direction. A bridge will be built over Industrial Avenue and the Union Pacific Railroad for the extension. Bike lanes are also being built along the extension as well as a multi-use path.
Construction costs are estimated to be $24.5 million and funding comes from developer-paid traffic mitigations, according to Roseville. The extension project is expected to be complete by Spring 2025.
The parkway will connect western parts of Roseville to places such as the Galleria Mall, The Fountains and connections to Highway 65.
