CALIFORNIA, USA — A historic park in Roseville will undergo renovations to improve the park for the local community.

Weber Park, located at 320 Circuit Drive, is one of Roseville's older parks, according to the city.

Pam Allen, a spokesperson for the city of Roseville, told ABC10 the park has been a challenge for the city.

"There are issues with visibility from the street which means we have activities taking place in the park that we didn’t really want," Allen said.

Some of the renovations include an expanded play area, better basketball courts, and more.  Renovations are set to begin in the spring.

"We are making a major investment in the park to remove a lot of dirt and bring down elevation change to improve safety and make it a welcoming environment for the neighborhood," Allen said.

Other changes include a dedicated police car parking for increased safety and getting rid of the restroom.

"They are doing everyone a favor by removing the restrooms. As annoying as it is with kids, I won’t let my kids use that restroom anyway," said a commenter on Facebook.
