ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Save Mart's Roseville Distribution Center has closed down permanently, according to a statement from the company.
"Following an extensive review of our current infrastructure and processes, we have made the decision to close the Roseville Distribution Center. The grocery industry changes rapidly and requires continuous improvement and innovation to remain competitive," Save Mart told ABC10 in a statement.
The company added they believe the change will help them compete, grow their business and meet their customers' needs.
They said they are committed to supporting all the people impacted through the transition, but also said they won't be commenting on any additional details.
A WARN notice was given to the California Employment Development Department for the closure on Aug. 6, noting an impact to 273 jobs.
Save Mart Companies, headquartered in Modesto, operates 194 stores across California and Western Nevada, including 79 full-service stores from Redding to Bakersfield and as far east as Sparks in Nevada.
