Sears is closing more stores, including three in Northern California

Liquidation sales for the stores should begin by the end of April, with complete closures expected by August 2018.

Three more Northern California Sears stores are getting the boot.

A Sears spokesman confirmed to ABC10 that the Sears locations in Citrus Heights, Roseville and Fairfield are expected to close by mid-July 2018, with liquidation sales starting by April 27.

Here are the specific locations:

  1. Sunrise Mall, 5900 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610
  2. Westfield Galleria at Roseville, 1191 Galleria Blvd., Roseville, CA 95678
  3. Solano Town Center, 1420 Travis Blvd., Fairfield, CA 94533

The fourth California store closing is located in El Cajon. Sears locations in Reno, Nev., North Carolina, Iowa, Chicago, and Texas are also part of the planned closing.

Sears also released a statement regarding the closings on Tuesday evening, which reads in part:

We understand that members may be disappointed when we close a store, but our Shop Your Way membership platform, websites and mobile apps allow us to maintain these valued relationships long after a store closes its doors.
