When these superheroes are not saving the world, they are bringing smiles to the faces of pediatric patients.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Superheroes such as Spider-man, Thor, Captain America, Batman and Iron Man came to Kaiser Permanente Roseville Women's and Children's Center on Thursday to lift patients' spirits.

These superheroes came to the rescue and surprised kids and their families by cleaning their windows.

"It's very intimidating for a child to be hospitalized," said Kim Menzel, senior vice president and area manager of Kaiser Permanente Roseville. "This actually brightens their day. They can look outside and not be as scared when they see superheroes because every child loves a superhero. It's just to brighten their day and really provide a positive care experience for them."

Kaiser Permanente Roseville did just that! Kids smiled through each window as they watched these superheroes take charge, and the superheroes were just as happy, smiling and waving back at the kids, showing off their costumes, masks and props.

"We like to do everything that we can to bring a smile to the children that have to be hospitalized, especially during the Halloween season," said Menzel. "It just brightens their day and takes their mind off of whatever their illness might be."
