ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Sutter Health acquired seven acres of land for a proposed primary care center in Roseville.
The site is on Highland Pointe Drive, near the southeast intersection of Highway 65 and Pleasant Grove Boulevard. It could potentially provide services for primary care, urgent care and specialists.
“Care center projects like Highland Pointe not only allow us to accommodate more patients, but also enable us to increase the number of physicians in growing communities like Roseville and Rocklin,” said Karun Grossman, M.D., chief medical officer for Sutter Medical Group and a practicing physician in the Sacramento region. “It’s a significant step forward, and anytime we can add medical professionals to a community, it’s a win for the residents.”
Sutter Health purchased the land for $4.95 million. Officials said it's part of an effort to expand health access and meet demand for services in Northern California.

In addition to the purchased land, Sutter Health announced plans to add 36 beds at Sutter Roseville. Other projects in the works and are also part of a plan to added 24 outpatient care centers in the hospital's Northern California service areas.
