SACRAMENTO –Two individuals, including a 16-year-old boy suspected of killing his brother's girlfriend, were taken into custody by officers serving a search warrant at a Sacramento residence Friday morning.
When police responded to the property on the 3800 block of 36th St. to execute the warrant, multiple individuals came out of the home. One person ran out of the back of the home and attempted to discard a gun, according to a Sacramento Police Department release.
Officers recovered the gun and found the individual hiding in a garden shed, per the release.
The unidentified subject was arrested for resisting arrest.
A second person, identified as 16-year-old Antoine Weber, barricaded himself in the crawlspace under the home, the release detailed.
Weber is believed to have fatally shot 19-year-old Nichole Duarte in the face on March 15.
SWAT officers called to the scene deployed tear gas in the home and Weber surrendered at approximately 4:01 a.m.
Weber was taken into custody and booked into juvenile hall for murder.
