SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — After another parade of storms rocked Northern California, Sacramento County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to declare a state of emergency Tuesday.
The proclamation was issued March 8 due to storm events.
Officials expect rain and snowpack melt to create conditions for potential flooding and could "significantly impact low-lying areas."
The proclamation gives the county the ability to use more resources to respond to the aftermath of the storms.
The local emergency will either be extended or ended based on recommendations from officials every 60 days.
