2 detained after Sacramento County Sheriff's Office parking enforcement unit vehicle window hit by gunfire

The sheriff’s office says one of the parking enforcement units reported being shot at while they were inside a vehicle.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a parking enforcement officer was shot at Monday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, it happened just before 11 a.m. along the 2000 block of Wyda Way.

The sheriff’s office says one of the parking enforcement units reported being shot at while they were inside a vehicle.

No one was injured, but one of the windows was shot out.

The sheriff’s office says it’s unclear if a BB gun or firearm was used. The suspected vehicle involved was found shortly after the shooting and two people were detained.
