SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a house fire in Sacramento.
According to Capt. Justin Sylvia with the Sacramento Fire Department, it happened around 3 p.m. on the 3200 block of Normington Drive.
Sylvia said it was a single-story house fire that appears to have started in the garage area and quickly spread across the home.
Two people were inside — a man and a woman — and a good Samaritan went into the home and helped the woman out.
Sylvia said the pair were taken to the hospital with burn injuries and are in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
