Sacramento man arrested for Merced explosion

Police say he set off an explosive device in Merced and was arrested Friday morning in Sacramento.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento man was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly set off an explosive device in Merced over the weekend.

According to the Merced Police Department, the explosion happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Sunol Court.

Initially, officers couldn’t find the source of the explosion, but they continued investigating and found both the video and the location of it.

Merced Police Bomb Team officers got evidence and information on the suspect from the address on Sunol Court and identified him as 24-year-old Jadin Tindle of Sacramento.

Deputies served a search warrant and arrest warrant on Tindle Friday and he was taken to the Sacramento County Main Jail.
