SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after allegedly hitting a pedestrian early Thursday morning.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, it happened around 3:30 a.m. near Auburn Boulevard and Watt Avenue.
Upon arrival officers found a pedestrian with significant injuries. They were taken to the hospital and are listed in critical condition.
Police say the driver was displaying signs of intoxication and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Officers are still at the scene and Auburn Boulevard between Watt Avenue and the Business 80 off-ramp is currently closed. Drivers should find an alternate route.
