People coming to Sacramento will be welcomed by a sign on a water tower that reads "Welcome to Sacramento" and "America's Farm to Fork Capital."
The long-standing slogan on the same water tower was "The City of Trees." Some have taken to social media to voice frustration with the changes.
The Sacramento Visitors Bureau was behind the push to get city council to make the changes. Chief Operating Officer Mike Testa said it's time the city puts it's best foot forward and brand itself with farm to fork.
With more than 1.5 million acres of farmland -- Sacramento is one of the largest agricultural growing region's in the world. There are more than 40 year-round farmers markets as well.
