SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Christopher Morales is a James Bond super fan. In fact, MGM — the studio behind Bond films — invites him to premieres and events all over the world. He documents them on his YouTube channel and @ThatOneBondGuy social media account.
“I’ve just always loved James Bond and the confidence and style of the character. My feeling is that anyone can use more of that in their life," said Morales.
He’s been to screenings and in the room with Daniel Craig on several occasions. Recently his phone blew up because of another Bond...
“I woke up and my phone was full of texts and voicemails! I guess Pierce Brosnan was hosting a live stream and shouted me out by name. Obviously I put the clip on my page immediately," he said.
Now, Morales is turning his attention to a new mission: collecting toys for Shriners Children’s Hospital.
“This Sunday is going to be really special. Lots of people love Bond, so we’re getting fans together. Bring a toy and enjoy our Bond-style champagne/coffee bar, then a Bond mission hunt through the store in which someone wins a shopping spree, followed by a super secret special Bond screening in the vintage on-site theatre," said Morales.
It goes down 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at the Stardust Vintage Emporium on Micron Avenue in Sacramento.
