SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man is dead after a fire in south Sacramento Thursday night.
The death was confirmed by the Sacramento Fire Department. Officials say the fire was reported around 10:45 p.m. along the 4100 block of Archean Way and the body was found inside a bedroom. A woman escaped from the fire and it is unclear if she is injured.
Officials say there was a large fire in the bedroom but it did not spread anywhere else in the home. The home has smoke and water damage but the fire has been put out.
An investigation is underway and no additional details are available at this time.
