The suspects allegedly stole weed, fled the scene and crashed into an unrelated vehicle two miles away while attempting to run from police, authorities said.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A police chase after an alleged burglary at a marijuana business ended in a crash early Monday morning in Rosemont; one suspect was detained and another is still at large after the incident, authorities said.

Just before 5 a.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of Alder Avenue, off Fruitridge Road, regarding a burglary in progress at the marijuana business, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said the suspects then allegedly fled north, and officers pursued into Sacramento County. The suspects soon collided with an unrelated vehicle at South Watt Avenue and Manlove Road in Rosemont, near the Sacramento Regional Transit station, roughly two miles away.

Parties involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to law enforcement.

“One suspect was detained and at least one suspect remains outstanding,” police said in a statement.

Marijuana was stolen from the business, but is it unclear as of 6 a.m. Monday how much was taken, police said.
