1 critically injured after car crashes into pedestrians in Pocket area of Sacramento | Update

Officials said there were four patients in total.

SACRAMENTO, California — One person is in critical condition after an accident in the Pocket neighborhood of Sacramento.

Officer Cody Tapley, spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department, said a car left the roadway and hit three pedestrians along the 8100 block of Pocket Road around 6 p.m. Two of the pedestrians were minors, and they were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third pedestrian was a woman taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sacramento Fire Department initially said there was a vehicle rollover along the 8100 block of Pocket Road with three people in critical condition. A spokesperson for the fire department said crews arrived to find a vehicle on its side and people on the ground. Their conditions were updated after police arrived.

No additional details surrounding the crash were available. Police are investigating the crash.
