SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Three people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after being injured in a car accident involving four cars, according to the West Sacramento Fire Department.
The crash happened on westbound Highway 50, just west of Jefferson Boulevard around 10 a.m.
It's unclear what caused the crash, but three cars had major damage and another caught fire, officials say. The road was backed up to interchange for some time but eventually cleared and reopened.
