3 suspects arrested in south Sacramento shooting

Three men were arrested Monday for killing 29-year-old Clifton Keene.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has arrested three people in connection with a south Sacramento shooting that left one man dead and a woman paralyzed, according to officials.

The shooting happened along the 3900 block of 42nd Avenue on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Clifton Keene, 29, was killed and a 47-year-old woman was paralyzed.

Detectives arrested Joe Martinez, 18, and Edward Sabala, 20, for murder on Monday, Nov. 25, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. Moises Ramirez, 21, was arrested for accessory.

Detectives arrested 21-year-old Moises Ramirez for accessory.

Detectives believe this homicide was gang related, but they do not believe the victims were the intended targets.
