Four people were seriously injured Monday morning after a car crash that required the Jaws of Life.
The crash happened at the Howe Avenue and Hurley Way intersection just before 6 a.m. when a pickup truck and Mercedes collided. Sacramento Metro Fire Department has not yet said who was at fault in the accident.
Two people in the pickup truck were taken to UC Davis Medical Center with serious injuries, according to Metro Fire.
The fire department used the Jaws of Life, or the Hurst tool, to free two people trapped in the Mercedes. The two were also taken to UC Davis Medical Center for serious injuries.
