No more waiting, it's finally here.
The City of Sacramento and the NBA Kings are celebrating the opening of the new downtown Golden 1 Center throughout the week -- ending with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday and a festival for fans on Saturday.
It wasn't even two years when construction on the sports and entertainment complex began in the place of nearly-abandoned downtown mall.
The first official event at the Golden 1 Center will be next week, when Paul McCartney performs October 4th and 5th. On Monday, members of the sports media got to take a look at the Kings' new warm up facility.
