CALIFORNIA, USA — An apartment fire broke out in Sacramento's Upper Land Park area Monday, according to the Sacramento Fire Department.
The fire started around 5 a.m. at apartments along Seavey Circle. When fire crews arrived, they found heavy fire conditions from the first floor of the apartments into the second floor.
According to the fire department, six people were in the home and they all got out safely. Smoke damaged the units next to the one that initially caught fire.
"We can't hear any fire alarms right now so we're unsure if they went off but they could've been burned up as well," said Captain Justin Sylvia with the Sacramento Fire Department.
The fire department is investigating how the fire started.
