SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Officials with the Sacramento County Cornoer's Office are asking for the public's help in identifying the victim of a deadly 2022 hit-and-run.
A man, estimated to be 40 to 60 years in age was hit by a car around 11:37 p.m. on Sept. 27, 2022, on southbound Howe Avenue near Cottage Way. The car that hit the man allegedly drove away from the scene.
Coroner's Office officials described the crash as an accident and said the victim's cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.
The unidentified man weighs 129 pounds and is 63 inches tall. He has brown eyes, short, straight, gray hair, and no identifying marks such as scars or tattoos.
At the scene, a bag of boots was found near the man's body, but officials were not able to identify him after searching the area and investigating the case, according to the coroner's office.
