SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Highway Patrol said three people were hurt in a crash involving five vehicles including a tow truck on Highway 99 in Sutter County on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said the crash happened around 3 p.m. near Lomo Crossing, north of Yuba City.

CHP said a tow truck didn't slow down for traffic and rear-ended a silver Subaru station wagon, also hitting a Nissan pickup, a Hyundai SUV, and a Mazda SUV.

The 50-year-old woman driver of the Subaru was taken to Rideout Hospital by Bi-County ambulance. Two people from the other vehicles also had minor injuries and were taken to the same hospital.
