SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A crash on northbound Interstate 5 in Sacramento slowed traffic Thursday.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. north of Sutterville Road. California Highway Patrol said a vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck and based on the preliminary investigation the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
A spokesperson with the Sacramento Fire Department said one person was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
California Highway Patrol advises drivers to avoid the area. The crash is under investigation.
