SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Multiple crashes are impacting traffic in Sacramento and West Sacramento on Monday.
A jackknifed big rig on southbound Interstate 5 at J Street has traffic backed up near Del Paso Road as of 10:30 a.m., according to Caltrans maps. The big rig is blocking lanes 2 through 6, according to California Highway Patrol.
According to the Sacramento Fire Department, a Hazmat team is investigating and diesel from the big rig spilled on the roadway. It's unclear how much diesel spilled on the road. There is no estimated time southbound I-5 will reopen.
A crash on westbound Highway 50 at Jefferson Boulevard is causing delays in West Sacramento as of 6 a.m., according to Caltrans maps.
Another crash on eastbound Highway 50 at Harbor Boulevard is causing delays as of 6 a.m., according to Caltrans maps.
