SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A fight-turned-fiery crash left a pedestrian and suspect hurt early Saturday in downtown Sacramento, police said.

Around 1 a.m. Saturday, Sacramento Police officers said they responded to the area of 10th and K Streets after reports came in of a fight.

One of the people involved in the fight allegedly left in a car, striking a pedestrian on his or her way.

The pedestrian reported minor injuries.

Soon after, the suspect allegedly crashed his or her car into a bollard near 13th Street causing the car to become engulfed in flames.

Officers pulled the suspect from the burning car and took him or her into custody for charges related to the fight and crashes.

Medics took the suspect to a hospital where they are listed in stable condition, police said.
