SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An Elk Grove man will appear on the upcoming season of ABC's “The Bachelorette.”
Dylan Buckor, 24, is a medical student who says he might be young, but knows exactly what he wants in life and is serious about finding a wife to settle down with, according to his biography on “The Bachelorette” website.
He will vie for Bachelorette Jenn Tran’s final rose during Season 21 premiering July 8 on ABC.
Buckor attended Pleasant Grove High School on Bond Road from 2014-2018. He played volleyball and was part of the school’s Digital Media Academy elective, according to the Elk Grove Unified School District. He appeared as an anchor in the school’s TV broadcast.
He was 6 feet, 6 inches tall as a senior in 2018, according to MaxPreps.
He graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s in sociology, according to the university. Buckor posted about the achievement on Instagram in December 2023.
“When he isn't working toward his goals, Dylan loves listening to Drake and attending Sacramento Kings games,” Buckor’s biography on the Bachelorette website says.
In October 2023, Buckor served as a bachelor of sorts when he appeared in a dating video on YouTube where he and a professional matchmaker took turns narrowing down potential companions until both Buckor and the matchmaker selected their final choice.
ABC says Buckor told them he’s "the kind of guy to bring home to parents."
Bachelorette fans will have to tune in July 8 to see if Tran takes him to hometowns.
Fun facts about Buckor include:
- He is a big fan of wine-and-painting nights.
- He hates avocados.
- He has never stepped foot in a Trader Joe's.
“His parents are still together and have provided him with the example of love he hopes to find in life,” his biography reads. “Dylan is looking for a partner with similar morals to his, who wants a family, and with whom he feels instant chemistry.”
