A lawn mower sparked a fire in Sacramento County Saturday morning, firefighters said.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Grass fires in San Joaquin, Yolo and Sacramento counties kept Northern California's firefighters busy Friday night into Saturday morning.

According to the Waterloo Morada Fire District, crews battled a blaze around 11:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Bumby Road and State Route 88 in San Joaquin County.

The fire burned multiple abandoned grain silos, several vehicles, a tractor and a quarter acre of vegetation.

No injuries were reported and officials are investigating how the fire ignited.

In Yolo County, crews responded to a structure fire on Yolo County Road 22, west of Esparto Friday night.

Cal Fire says a 3,000-square-foot building filled with bee boxes and beeswax went up in flames. Around 0.085 acres of vegetation also burned. No injuries were reported in the fire and officials are also investigating the cause.

Hours later, around 10:14 a.m. Saturday, Sacramento Metro Frie District crews tackled a 4-acre grass fire off 16th Street in Rio Linda. No structures were burned and no injuries were reported.

Investigators said the cause of the Saturday morning fire was a lawn mower on dry grass.
