SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The victim of a deadly shooting at a South Sacramento apartment complex was identified as a Jermaine O'Neill, 34, of Sacramento.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office confirmed the man's identity Tuesday.
The shooting was reported over the weekend along the 3900 block of 48th Avenue. Sacramento County sheriff's deputies said he was shot in the chest late Friday night, just before midnight.
According to the sheriff's office, the shooting could possibly be gang-related.
