SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man died after he was hit by a vehicle in the North Sacramento area Wednesday evening.
The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to a crash after 6 p.m. in the area of Bell Avenue and Norwood Avenue after 6 p.m. Police said a man had life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
The male adult driver involved in the collision remained on scene and the man, a pedestrian, was taken to a nearby hospital. Despite life-saving measures, the man died from his injuries.
The victim was not identified by police.
Police said the crash is under investigation with detectives processing the scene, canvassing the area and interviewing witnesses.
