Man killed in North Sacramento shooting tied to sideshows identified

Kevin Roderic Waterman, 26, and another man were shot early Sunday near Main Avenue and Kelton Way. Waterman died from his injuries at the hospital.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The man killed in a shooting connected to sideshow activity early Sunday morning in North Sacramento has been identified. Police said he took himself to the hospital before dying from his injuries.

Kevin Roderic Waterman, 26, and another man were shot just before 3 a.m. near Main Avenue and Kelton Way, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The Sacramento Police Department said both men self-transported to the hospital, where Waterman died from his injuries. The incident is under investigation; no arrests have been made and there is no suspect information to provide as of 11:20 a.m. Monday, according to law enforcement.
