Update | Elk Grove residents killed in single-vehicle crash in Sacramento

The single-car crash happened around 11:25 p.m. Monday near Riverside Boulevard and 43rd Avenue in Sacramento.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An investigation is ongoing after a crash in Sacramento left two people dead Sunday night.

Sacramento County Coroner's Office says the two crash victims were 66-year-old Rudy Martin Almanza and 61-year-old Frances Marie Almanza, both of Elk Grove.

The single-car crash happened around 11:25 p.m. near Riverside Boulevard and 43rd Avenue in Sacramento's Greenhaven neighborhood, according to police.

Upon arrival, officers found Rudy Almanza dead at the scene, while Frances Almanza was taken to a hospital where she died.
