Minor hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Sacramento crash

Police said the vehicle crashed into a tree.

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Police are investigating a crash in Sacramento that left a minor with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the crash was reported just before 4 p.m. in the area of J Street and State University Drive.

Arriving officers found a vehicle that hit a tree and three people that were hurt. 

Police said the driver and passenger, both men, had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. However, a minor was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police have closed J Street between 57th and Carlson Drive for their investigation. It's not clear what led up to the collision.
