A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a crash along westbound Highway 50 in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m.
The crash is backing up traffic along Highway 50, just east of 26th Street, on the northbound 51 transition lane.
There is no estimated time for reopening, Caltrans said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
