SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Friday is National Popcorn Day, and plenty Sacramento-area stores and movie theaters offer sales for the popular snack food.
With locations in Elk Grove and Rocklin, The Popcorn Store’s most popular flavors are its salted and oiled gourmet white popcorn, its yellow cheddar and its caramel popcorn, according to a store representative.
When customers spend $15 on Friday, they will receive a small bag of gourmet white popcorn.
Here are other popcorn deals Friday in the capital region:
- All popcorn at the Tower Theatre is 50% off, according to a theater social media post.
- Cinemark movie theaters offer $2 off all in-theater purchases of medium and large popcorns.
- Regal movie theaters members receive a free small popcorn with their ticket purchase at any concession stand in America. Guests who are not members receive 50% off any size classic popcorn purchase.
- Any AMC ticket-buying guests can receive unlimited refills on any size popcorn. The theater is also offering a large crossbody bag Friday only for $79.99 plus tax. Refills on the bag are not available until 15 minutes after purchase, and guests must show proof of purchase, according to an AMC news release.
Representatives with popcorn sales information for the Esquire IMAX Theatre on K Street were unavailable Thursday.
A store representative for Emigh Ace Hardware said they are not offering any deals for National Popcorn Day, but customers can still grab a bag at their El Camino Avenue or El Dorado Hills locations.
