NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — One person was shot and another person was injured at a North Highlands Halloween party, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
Deputies got reports of a loud party near the 4100 block of Cornelia Way around 1:30 a.m. The sheriff's office said according to the caller there were more than 50 people at the party and a fight broke out.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man "badly" beaten and another person shot in the leg. The man who was beaten was taken to a hospital. The person who was shot was also taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, according to the sheriff's office.
