Victim of Saturday morning Oak Park shooting identified as John Parker

Two people were shot along 4th Avenue early Saturday morning. The man killed has been identified as 22-year-old John Parker.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Coroner's office identified the man killed in an early Saturday morning shooting in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood as John Kevin Parker.

He was 22 years old. Parker's city of residence was not released.

Another man was wounded in the shooting.

Just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting on the 4000 block of 4th Avenue, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said they located the men at the scene. Both were transported to a hospital, police said.

Police haven't released any updates on the investigation.
