SACRAMENTO, Calif — One person is dead after they were hit by a car in south Sacramento Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened on Gerber and Elk Grove Florin roads around 10 p.m.
It's not clear what led up to the collision, but the person died. A police spokesperson said it's not clear where the vehicle or the pedestrian were at the time of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
