No arrests after Saturday protest shuts down Sacramento's Tower Bridge

Demonstrators were calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A protest Saturday afternoon shut down Sacramento's iconic Tower Bridge. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the protest started around 1 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of O Street.

No arrests were made in the demonstration, which eventually made its way to the landmark bridge forcing it to close down for some time.

According to a press release obtained by ABC10, demonstrators were calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. 

In the press release, unnamed authors said that the "Ceasefire Now! Rally and March," was one of multiple protests happening around the world Saturday.
